Comment:
Deletions are marked like this. Additions are marked like this.
Line 3: Line 3:
 * [:SettingSSLCertificateDetails:Setting SSL certificate details]
 * [:ChainedSSLCertificates:Chained SSL certificates]
 * [:CertificatePerProtocol:Set a SSL Certificate per Protocol]

You can have both the certificate and the key in __one__ file, but you must still
mention the file for both conf settings, like so:
{{{
ssl_cert_file = /usr/local/etc/ssl/private/dovecot.pem
ssl_key_file = /usr/local/etc/ssl/private/dovecot.pem
}}}
Because the secret key is now part of the certificate file, it should not be
world-read/writeable (preferred permissions are 0400, owner root:root).
 * [:SSL/CertificateCreation:Creating SSL certificates]
 * [:SSL/DovecotConfiguration:Configuring Dovecot to use SSL certificates]
 * [:SSL/CertificateClientImporting:Importing CAs and self-signed SSL certificates to clients]
 * SSL works pretty much the same universally, so for more information about SSL you can see for example [http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/ssl/ Apache's documentation].
 * Dovecot uses OpenSSL, so whatever information you find about it applies also to Dovecot.
